I was reading an article about Religion and the Church, which covered many aspects of the Church as it is today, and was hundreds of years ago. Through this article, it portrayed the life of St. Francis of Assisi and shed light on his life and also a take on him and the things he did and his vision etc. What caught my eye was the manner in which the writer of the piece (Andrew Sullivan) showed the Holy Father and his life.
Which got me thinking.. this writer must have read about the life of St. Francis from various books and literature (I hope not the net!) and gave his point of view on the life of the Saint.
That got me thinking.. how AWESOME is the Human Brain! It allows us to take in what we want, churn it, colour it with our understanding & thinking, and let us absorb and form an opinion about things! What a spectacular system/machine to do that! How often have a heard a persons story of POV and have formed our own opinions about it? How many times have a heard a story / watched a news clip and try to figure out the other side of that story, without the complete information at hand? What makes us perceive the truth or give us the perspective to see something, feel something which we NEVER have!
A small thought into a huge complex Pandora's Box, but Food for Thought?
